The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed a quarantine-free reopening of Thailand to fully vaccinated foreign visitors, including returning Thais and foreign residents, from the approved list of low-risk countries/territories entering the Kingdom via air travel from 1st November 2021.
The country will reopen without quarantine to fully vaccinated visitors traveling from the list of 46 approved countries, who will only be required to take a Covid-19 test upon arrival, and to stay in an SHA Plus hotel whilst waiting for the results.
As for those who didn’t make the list of approved countries just yet, you will still be able to enter the country through Thailand’s new and improved Sandbox program, requiring only a week of soft quarantine in one of the 17 approved provinces.
For those who are not fully vaccinated, or who do not want to stay in one of the 17 “Sandbox” provinces, the Alternative Quarantine System still allows people to travel to Thailand, with a quarantine period depending on how visitors arrive. Those who fly in will need to quarantine for 10 days, whilst those arriving by land will require 14 days quarantine.
