On 15 September 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest, in collaboration with the Board of Investment of Thailand and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, co-organized the Thailand Business Forum 2021 on the topic of “New Path for Business Partnership in Thailand”.

Representatives from multiple public and private sectors in Thailand and Hungary were invited to share their respective countries’ insights into trade and investment opportunities.

Ms. Tapanee Kruangpradit, Minister Counsellor (Commercial), Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, Budapest, delivered a comprehensive presentation entitled Realizing Trading Opportunities in Thailand. Her presentation included the bilateral trade statistics, which shows the persistent trade surplus of Thailand with Hungary and increased export to Hungary despite the Covid-19 outbreak. Moreover, she added that there are three potential product/service categories for Thai investors in Hungary. To illustrate, industrial products, consumer products (food/beverage/beauty/lifestyle), and Thai massage parlors & restaurants.
