Thai SELECT is a certificate awarded by the Department of International Trade, Ministry of Commerce of Royal Thai Government to Thai restaurants in Thailand and overseas that meet specific quality standards in the authentic taste of Thai cuisine. Using original Thai ingredients, adopting traditional Thai cooking methods, and providing excellent customer service is among the strict criteria reassessed every three years. For overseas restaurants, there are three certification levels based on the quality of food, design, level of service: Signature, Classic and Casual.

Thai SELECT Casual is the latest certificate category for small Thai restaurants abroad, such as fast-food restaurants, food outlets at a food court, and eateries with limited or no seating, including food trucks or food stalls. Thai SELECT intends to introduce the authentic taste of Thailand to the international market and encourage Thai restaurant operators to aim at the highest quality in cooking and service.

At present, there are 5 Thai SELECT restaurants within South-Central Europe and Southeastern Europe, of which 4 of them are in Budapest, Hungary.
